I had a credit card account with Household Bank with a finance charge of 3.90%.I guess they weren't getting enough finance charge from me, so they suddenly upped it to 11.24%. I called and ask why they changed my finace charge & was told they go through their accounts and randomly pick customers to change their interest rates & I was one of them.

If I had not looked at my bill closely, I would not have known what they did. I payed my bill in full before the dute date, but I received a bill for $5.86 the following month. I wrote them a letter disputing the charge, but they didn't bother to reply. The following month there was a $35.00 charge for not paying my bill. I went on line to see what was happening & by that time the charge had gone up to $47.00.

I e-mailed them & ask what was going on & told them I had sent a letter disputing the charge. I was told if I would pay the $5.86 finance charge they would take the other charges off. I had no choice but to pay or they would have kept adding charges every day.
