Huntington Bank Posting Order Is WRONG Internet

I made a human error and forgot to register a check in my check register.  Before this check posted, I had used my debit card for several small purchases, the largest of these was $10.00.  Huntington told me that they post the largest check first and then deduct the rest thereafter.  What this does is, they can then gouge the customer for each purchase of $37.50.  By doing this, the check I wrote put me at $0.78 over draft.  But since they deducted that first, the other purchases of less than $10.00, they could charge me $37.50 for each purchase for a total of $225.00.  When I questioned them about this, they tried to make it sound like they were "helping" me by doing this.  Stating that they feel that the larger checks should be posted first because those are usually for mortgage payments, car payments, etc.  But they know exactly the reason they do this is so they can charge for each purchase!  I am not denying that I should be charged the NSF for the check, that was MY mistake.  But for them to do post in this order is wrong wrong wrong.  My sister who also works for a bank said that the people who come to them from Huntington state this is one of the main reasons they switch.  Huntington is one of the worst banks for using this practice.  I hope together, we can stop them from robbing us from our hard earned money!!
