There are several issues here:

1) I was told several things that turned out to be false during my interview: 1) I would not have to do sales work 2) That I would be on a flexible schedule that would allow me some weekends off 3) That I would be sent to formal training for my position. 4) When I put in my notice, I had one week's vacation due me and approved by the management. I gave six weeks notice. I was then "let go" via e-mail while I was on vacation and the management refused to pay me for the approved vacation time.

The lack of sales was a complete falsehood that began to be apparent almost immediately after I began the job. I was then doing phone sales within 3 months of my hire date. I was never sent to formal training and then was criticized for not knowing all of the programs/issues involved with my job. I asked for training several times and it was never offered. Finally, I was never offered any flexibility in my schedule, although this was a major point of the interview. Ultimately, I was treated with very little respect. I also witnessed quite a bit of incompetence among the owners: 1) lack of experience with actual classroom teaching 2) constantly missing important deadlines 3) lying to parents, students, AND employees regularly 4) very little concern for actual quality of teaching and almost complete focus on how much money each student represented and finally 5) Being encouraged by management to lie to students and to parents.
