So, I thought that I would get some extra cash for our old cell phones after switching networks. I looked online and thought I picked the right one, ibuyphones.com. I had a slight inkling that it may be a scam so I took pictures of my phones and all info before sending. My phones safely arrived to ibuyphones at the beginning of December. I waited patiently until the beginning of January to contact them about the status of my order. No response. I sent another note, slightly more agitated, no response.

Now, I like to talk directly to people who have done me wrong so I tried to find the phone number for this place and guess what? Conveniently they only do communication through email. It was then I knew it was a scam. None-the-less I sent the same note to them repeatedly for a week straight.

At this point it isn't even about the money; it is the fact that this scam artist gets away with it. I could have donated my phones to a charity for people who really need them; instead I donated them to some guy who obviously makes a living being a lying SOB.

So watch out people, this guy who runs ibuyphones is a real winner. I would make sure you are not getting scammed by his other 36 websites either. To Lonnie, the scam artisit, you're a real big man. Get a real job and seek professional help.

your customer service email is not even up

AUTHOR: Becky - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 20, 2010

I have been waiting for payment for a phone I sent to ibuyphones.com and it was received by you in September 2009.  I have been emailing the cusomter support emails (i have seen 2 of them since I sent you the phone) cs@ibuyphones.com and support@ibuyphones.com.  Today when I sent yet another complaint regarding lack of payment and lack of communication, I received bounceback emails on BOTH of your customer service email addresses that they are not legitimate email addresses.  So why don't you try running your business and honor the commitments you made to your customers, including me?  You have my phone, you prmosed me payment for it, and hello, I am still waiting for payment over 4 months later.

#1 UPDATE Employee

iBuyPhones.com has thousands of happy customers...

AUTHOR: Lonnie - Ibuyphones.com - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 16, 2009

This is not a scam. If we were out scamming people and ripping off their phones we would be out of business. Our customers are very important to us and we strive to perform our service in an efficient and reliable way. Unfortunately there are area's were we need to rely on other services and our actual customer's themselves to complete the process. For instance...we use a "third party" company to cut all of our checks, due to the high volume of checks we send out every month...anyway...they are a reputable company that sends out rebate checks for some very major corporations...so they are very reliable. So, rarely is there a problem with sending checks out. But, next we have to rely on the Post Office to send the checks...they are 99% reliable. So, for every 100 checks we send out we expect 99 to safely arrive. We are here to take care of the customer who does not get their check...but many times this customer jumps to conclusions and automatically assumes we are scamming them...I assure you...we are not scamming them. Finally, many times the check does arrive safely, but, the customer themselves or another resident of the house thinks our check is just junk mail and throws it away...again...many times the customer jumps to conclusions and automatically assumes we are scamming them...I assure you...we are not scamming them. We have thousands and thousands of happy customers...only a few have had problems and we try to take care of these few the best as we can. If we were truly scammers we would have hundreds of people posting messages about us...not only a few...we are here to provide a great service to those of you who have old used cell phones collecting dust...sell them to ibuyphones.com with confidence.

And since I don't know who made this post...feel free to email lonnie@ibuyphones.com directly so I can try and figure out what happened.

By the way, I am not a lying SOB, I am not a scam artist, I have a real job, I don't need professional help, and we don't have 36 other websites.

Thanks.

Lonnie
