ibuyphones.com ibuyphones....Rip Off Artists Extraordinaire Orange, California

This is nothing but a scam.

From the ibuyphones.com website:

"Does iBuyPhones guarantee the quoted value of my cell phone? As long as the phone works, you will receive the quoted cash value. We will honor our quoted price withing 30 days of your sign-up date. After 30 days we will pay you the current quoted price listed on the website. However, we do inspect every cell phone, and values may be adjusted if we receive your cell phone in very bad condition."

Bull.  I sent 13 (count them, 13) phones to these guys.  They show as being received on 1/13/2010, 2/22/2010.  I also sent extras to them (Ordered date 12/9/2009).

I have contacted customer service several times to check status (keep in mind, they state 30 days to honor their quoted price  and afterwards they will pay the quote price) and have gotten no response.

I then did a search and found this site and lo and behold, I am not the only victim of these frauds.  I even found "Lonnie's" email address on here and sent him an email yesterday. I figured 24 hours would be enough time for him to respond.  Guess what, no response from him.

Stay away from these guys.  Oh, they will gladly take your phones off your hands and will not pay you for them.

Next steps for me. Contact the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General for the State Of California, point them to this site so they can see these scam artists for what they truly are and hopefully do something about it (like shut them down).
