ICON Health And Fitness ripoff PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY IS ASKING FOR PROBLEMS Logan Utah

The ICON Health and Fitness Company is the distributor for NordicTrack Recumbent Exercise Bicyles. I purchased the product
January 28, 2003.

The Bicycle worked very well for seven days and then broke, (no tension, I called the company and they agreed to send parts and have a technician come to my home and install. They send the parts and after about two weeks they arrived. The technicians came and installed the new parts and left. The new parts lasted 22 minutes and then I was back without an exercise bike!! I called them again and asked if they had recieved any complaints with this product, and if they had would they check on a fix for the problem. They informed me that no such complaints had been recieved and there wasn't a fix available but agreed to send me the parts again, and to send the technicians again, to repair the bike.

I checked the internet for reports on the NordicTrack TRL625 Recumbent Bike and found it was a common problem, with comments like, only good to hang your wet laundry on the norm. By the serial number of the bike I assume they have produced and sold 2909 of this model.

The person on the phone was only trying to defend the indefensible, I don't blame her.

However, reading other reports on this as well as other pages on the web I find that ICON Health and Fitness have any ittention of correcting this problem, or even care if the customer is satisfied. I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT PURCHASING ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY IS ASKING FOR PROBLEMS!!!!!
