Imperial Majesty Cruises I too was almost scammed, Thanks Rip Off Reporters Ft. Lauderdale Florida

I was so glad to find this site. I received a phone call a few weeks ago saying that if I filled out a telephone survey that I would be eligible to win a free cruise. I never win but I had some spare time and the survey was short. A few days later I received the call that I indeed had won a cruise for 2 days from Florida to the Bahamas. When I asked what the catch was, the nice lady said that I would have to pay some kind of tax for $59.00. She then said that some people opt to get the extension package for $199.00 that included all of these wonderful sounding places, 2 nights here, 2 nights there free food everywhere. I was almost there (in my mind anyways). Then when I asked her if she could send me a pamphlet explaining all of these wonderful details it became a whole different conversation.

She made it sound like I had a time limit or someone else would get the trip of my dreams. She remained nice but told me that she could only send me the info. after I registered and gave my credit card number. This immediately sent red flags up everywhere to me. I told her I would have to think about it and she gave me a number to call her back and gave me a web site to look up for more info. My first stop on the internet however was to the Better Business Bureau where I found only the name Imperial Majesty Vacations and it showed that they were not members of the BBB and that they voluntarily sent the BBB their business info. in February 2007 which really sent up red flags. Here it stated that there were no complaints about them so I'm not sure if this is another avenue for those of you who have already paid your money to get some or all of it back but it can't hurt to try and it will also help others who may potentially get scammed.

I am so thankful to those of you who weren't afraid to speak up and say that you had a bad experience with these scammers. You saved me some money and helped me to be a little more cautious. Thanks
