I received a phone message from a guy with a foreign accent namedJason Rebellothreatening me of a lawsuit pending against me. The phone number he left was 510-250-1065. He further said that if I disregard this call, he wished me good luck to what will happen to me as this unfolds on me.
I call the number and the same p***k answers the phone. I kept on asking what the name of the company you are representing. He didn't answer my question. He wanted to read an affidavit to me. I was interested so he I listened. He indicated that I was being sued for 8,800 on apayday loan. I then asked him who is the company suing me. He said instacash. They go by other names and mentioned a payday loan company that I did deal with. I know I've paid them back so now I just wanted to him continue. He said I can settle this by paying him $689.73. I laughed at him and told me to send paperwork. He said that he would e-mail it to me. He never did.
I contacted the payday loan company CashNetUsa and informed them about my call and they are well aware of the scam going on and being investigated.

So the same thing has happened to me today, with the threat of a lawsuit and everything about a pay day loan....I have applied for the loans but have never actually received one.
Anyways, my question is.......has anything come of this? Have they tried to take any money from your account or has anything of charges happened?
I am filing a report on here and with the Attorney General in my state....I just haven't heard of anything actually happening with all this and was wondering if you have anymore information?

I got a loan through CashNetUsa and the same thing has happened to me. After a lot of research, I found out that the calls are complete BS and there is absolutely nothingthey can do. I would answer and yell at them at first, then I just started to ignore them. Once I got tired of my phone constantly ringing, I began adding all the various numbers to my "blocked" list, and the calls have stopped.
