Intelius Inc. Scam Background Reports Bellevue, Washington

This company is a total sham, they claims to provide accurate criminal and personal background reports for $29.95. Having had a issue with an inaccurate report I wanted to find out anything I could about what others might find in they searched my name and information.
After signing up for the INTELIUS. com service I got absolutely NOTHING about myself. They showed me a list of 101 people with names that were similar only a few even lived in the same state but I was not included.
When I signed up I thought the site would take me to a page that asked for specific information to process a search i.e. DOB, Address, Drivers License #, SS #, etc. But that never happened. Their search was based on Name Only! When I contacted customer service and asked for a refund I got the following email;

We access a variety of different public records sources from our data partners. As you can imagine, some of the sources are courthouses, county and other government offices. These offices can be slow to update public information. We are as current as they are, but some of the updates are out of our immediate control. Because of this, we cannot guarantee the information or provide refunds. We apologize for this inconvenience. While we are unable to provide refunds, we would b! e happy to issue you a credit for a free search. Please reply to this email so that the free search may be credited accordingly. PLEASE...help spread the word this is a complete SHAM service and can't possibly provide the service they promote without specific personal information.
