I returned an item for exchange via certified mail. The company emails me stating that the package was opened and the earrings I was returning for exchange were missing. I inquired if this could have been stolen within the company to which the woman responded that the earrings were only worth 160 and they sell things worth thousands, so that wasnt a possibility.

I was promised a phone call back for further details and never received one. I called back and another woman told me there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak to a manager and she told me there was no manager. I would not recommend using this website. It is very shady and the people there are unprofessional and have zero customer service and now I'm out of 160 dollars.

I am currently looking into filing a police report to investigate this theft.

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Merchandise received and opened under cameras

AUTHOR: Mike R - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, December 28, 2012

Hello,
we have been in jewelry business for over 7 years, selling high end diamond jewelry. All merchandise shipped and received is under cameras. From the time package gets to our outside door till the time it is received, opened, items examined, scanned and put into stock, everything is recorded on one or more of the 32 cameras at the location.

This particular customer was explained that it is NOT possible for anybody to open her package and steal her merchandise without it being noticed or recorded, not only that is not possible but nobody would risk his/her job and moreover to go to jail for $160 earrings. Nonetheless at customer's request cameras were reviewed and they did indeed show that the box was empty when it was opened by our representative.

Customer was advised to contact the carrier to file the insurance claim, we did tell the customer we will cooperate and will provide the carrier with any information they need including the video recording from the time the carrier delivered the package to the time it was opened. Customer is also welcome to file a police report to help with investigation. Sorry but we can not be liable if we receive an empty package.
