On January 2, 2007 I called J.A. Cambece so that I could make a payment schedule to pay my debit. I Spoke to Dan Rocooparow who refused to spell his last name for me first of all. Well that is not what really bothered me. We went though the payment arrangements and I agreed that I am willing to pay my debit. Well they asked for my checking account number to go get an amount taken out each month for 6 months and it would be done. I had no problem with this. I told Dan that all of my checking account information was sent to my computer not top my home and I had to call back on January 3, 2007. Dan then told me that I was lying that no one has all of there information online that if you have a checking account it is always sent to your home.

I told him that with the bank that I use for my checking account I do not have any paper documents not even a check book this is what I asked for when I opened my account. Dan still called me a liar.

Then he told me if I were to hang up with out giving an account number that it was refusal to pay. I told I am not refusing to pay, I just didn't have the info he needed at that exact time. Then when I tried to explain my account he kept interrupting me telling me I was a liar.

At this point I was so mad that my Fiance got on the phone and started to speak with his " Manager " Al Ledberry. Al proceeded to tell my Fiance who is not on my account all of my information.

Now I thought that was agianst the law. Am I wrong?
Now what I really don't understand is if I did not have a checking account they told me that I could not pay my debit.

Does anyone know if this really is a Company or just a bunch or idiots?

One more thing if I have someone calling from a Law office to tell me that they are going to sue for there money I would like for the gutless Lawyers of this company to call me and tell me that not some punk kid trying to get a rise out of me.

Do not trust these people make them send you a signed copy of your account being transferred to them from your original account. If they sell your account you have every right to see when what and who signed it over. Just to be sure that they are telling the truth.

If they can not show legal documentation of your account don't give them a dime until they show you something legal.

Katie, STAY OFF THE PHONE!!

AUTHOR: Steve [Not A Lawyer] - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 04, 2007

Katie,

Stay off the phone! NEVER speak to any debt collector on the phone! NEVER. And NEVER give any debt collector your banking info, as most of the time they will clean you out.

Cambece is the lowest form of life in the "legal" profession and in the debt collection industry. They are punks.

ALWAYS demand DEBT VALIDATION in writing from any collector that contacts you. This should always be done immediately.

Demand to see the original signed contract that created the debt, as well as a full account history and itemization of all charges.

Also if they claim to own the debt, demand to see the sale contract and proof of payment as well as full chain of title.

Do this by certified mail, return reciept requested, and put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records. This is very important to do it this way.

Specify in that letter that all communications are to be in writing only and all telephone calls must cease immediately.

And, friendly advice. The word is debt, not debit. You pay a debt. Cambece are JUNK DEBT BUYERS who pay pennies or less on the dollar for very old, usually uncollectable debts.
