JB Hunt bad hiring practices East Brunswick New Jersey

I was pressured into taking this job. If I didn't take it now it may not be available. I was told on a Friday early afternoon to start Monday. I was e-mailed information for the driver orientation . date, address, time, what to bring, how much I would get paid for orientation, etc.

Within the next couple hours I got a phone call saying I had to wait a week because they didn't do the federally mandated 10 year background history check. By the end of the week they couldn't hire me.

I understand it's a right to work state, but if JB Hunt did what they are legally obligated to do in the order it is supposed to be done before telling drivers they are hired then there wouldn't be any problems.

The way they are doing this is not legal. You can't tell drivers they are hired before they do the background checks required by law.
