JBC Legal Group ripoff Bloomfield New Jersey

On October 28, 2004, I recieved a letter in the mail from a so called law firm called JBC Legal Group claiming that I owed an outstanding debt of $190, that they were seeking to collect on the behalf of an unnamed creditor.

Being honset, I thought to myself that may there is a debt out there I might have overlooked, but I knew that there couldn't be when I make my number one priority to pay any and all of by bills on time if not sooner and any of my past or current creditors can verify this on mybehalf. In fact I just gotten approved by the Ford Motor Credit Company for a 2005 Ford Mustang GT, therefore I knew that there was something real shakey about the legality of this debt.

The story gets much greater!!!

On the sameday I recieved this letter, my sister who lives across town from me recieved the same letter claiming that she has an outstanding debt of $240 from the JBC Group. At first she thought she might have became a victom a idenity theft, but after talking to me and her neighbor we both came to the conclusion that this was some sort of a scam. Shortly after I then got on the internet so I could find out all I could about JBC, and shortly after I filed an complaint with the FTC agianst the company. Then after I called information (411) to see if I could get a legit phone number on the company, which I did, because the 800-241-1510 number was kind of suspect to me the phone line doesn't even ring like it supose to.

After obtaining their phone number (973) 259-1701, I then left them a nasty message on their voice mail about the letter they sent me and that I wasn't sending them a dime; and that I also just filed a complaint with the FTC against them.
