JC Penneys JCP's Delivery Contractor---Phoenix Direct Inc. - Sub-contractor - Leo Gilliam Delivery -FILE NUMBER: ASI00997554011 - On 14DEC16, the delivery team for Phoenix Direct damaged the floor and wall in my home. The damage was caused when the driver Chris Carter was moving the refrigerator and failed to strap it to the dolley. The dolley was large and it fell and knocked a hole in the wall and floor. On 14DEC16, the delivery team for Phoenix Direct damaged the floor and wall in my home. The damage was caused when the driver Chris Carter was moving the refrigerator and failed to strap it to the dolley. The dolley was large and it fell and knocked a hole in the wall and floor.

Two contractors one from Phoenix Direct and Leo Gilliam have been to look at damage in January. Phoenix Direct was sure they could get someone to repair the floor. However Leo Gilliam (subcontractor) asked me to get estimates.

Estimates for the wall was sent to Gilliam on 20Mar17 and floor estimates were sent on 10Apr17. The floor and wall coverings are no longer available. After receiving floor estimates, Gilliam called and wanted to settle based on depreciating my current floor.  I told him I taled with my insurance company and that is not the way it should work. I would be willing to do the insurance deductible but my floor was not worn to the point I had to replace it.

I was contacted by Phoenix Direct on or about 24Apr17, stating they wanted to settle the claim by the end of the week. They asked me to send the wall estimates that I had sent to Leo Gilliam.  I emailed the estimates on 28 April 2017 to the email address provided in the report.  I have not heard from Phoenix since that time.

I contacted Electric Insurance Agency on 25May17 to let them know I was having issues with the claim and they stated they were a third party and they would contact Phoenix Direct. 

I also contacted JC Penneys and made a report.  No one has responded.  I purchased an entire suite of applicances from JCP and they cannot help me.  According to JCP I will have to deal directly with Phoenix Direct.  If this is JC Penneys' contractor, I don't agree.
