J.D.Marvel Products "Doc Marvel" ripoff consumer fraud Not only don't I have my merchandise, I got stuck with an international phone call as well. BEWARE! Champlain New York

On April 29, 2003 I sent for merchandise from J. D. Marvel Products.

By the first week of June I called the phone number listed on the ad coupon (which appeared in our local newspaper) to find out where the merchandise was. I was told that the product was on back order, but my shipment would be sent out on July 1st, and that my shipment should be received by July 15th. As of today, July 18th, no merchandize has been received.

A special note here: I received my telephone bill two days ago and found the phone call I made to the J.D.Marvel Products, Inc. in June. I was horrified to discover that my phone bill had been hit with a $10.00 phone call for an "international" call to Canada!! The phone number listed with the NY address, that I naturally assumed was in the USA, turned out to be a Canadian phone number. Not only don't I have my merchandise, I got stuck with an international phone call as well. I file a report with my long distance phone company. BEWARE!
