Jim Walter Homes House built less than 10 yrs. ago, floors decaying from use of shoddy building material. Slidell Louisiana

The floor begin to decay starting from the sliding patio door to midway the dining room area at least 3 to 4 yrs ago. Now the decaying floor has expanded through out the house.

The soft spots have proceed to cover the entire kitchen floor as well the other floors throughout the bedrooms and bathrooms. This in turn causing gaps in between the floor and the molding. Also leaves spaces in the bathroom between the bathtub, toilet and the floor.

In other parts of the house there are protruding mounds in the floor. Being that Sr. citizens own and live in the house, the concerns are who is going to stumble over one of the mounds or fall through the floor first.

I know in this day and age things aren't built to last! Maybe if there had been a leaky roof at some point in time or An Act of GOD that could be accounted for, it would possibly be easier to accept. But lifetime on houses are suppose (should) to last longer than the lifetime of clothes.
