J.K. HARRIS & ASSOCIATES - J.K. HARRIS - JOHN K. HARRIS ripoff, TAKE THE MONEY AND RUN, TAX CHEATS & LIARS Charleston South Carolina

My story is all too typical with this company. I was stupid enough to sign not one but TWO contracts with these rip-offs, investing a total of $1450 for them to "represent me" before the IRS for delinquent returns and owing a lot of money.

After three years they have done nothing. I have since found out that their "tax experts" "crisis intervention specialists" etc. etc. are nothing more than low-pay clerical people with no real training in tax matters. Their "nationwide offices" are nothing more than a single rented room with a couple chairs and a desk, and they employ traveling salesmen to do their contractural dirty work. If they do have an "office" in your area, they will make an appointment for you and that is where you will meet Mr. traveling salesman to take your hard-earned cash from you. It is the last time you will see or speak to a friendly face.

Finally after many emails and phone calls with little or no action, I demanded my money back. By this time my home had a lien on it and my wages were garnished. Of course they weaseled their way out of refunding my money after a 90-day "review process", saying that I hadn't filed my paperwork in a timely manner and they did work on my behalf that was covered by my fees.

Folks, this is B.S. THEY DID NOTHING. Look them up on the BBB web site and you will see that they have OVER 500 complaints filed against them in the last 24 months. Finally I filed a complaint with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection (phone 570-963-4913)....They went to work and J.K. Harris REFUSED to cooperate with their investigation. So the PA AG office contacted the South Carolina Attorney General (P.O. Box 11549, Columbia, SC 29211) for their assistance, and that is where it stands at the moment.

My advice is STAY AWAY FROM J.K. HARRIS, you'll be glad you did.
