In March of 2006 I met with Mr. Stanik of JK Harris. A contract was signed. A payment of $425.00 was made that day. A payment arrangement of $93.00 per month for 10 months was made. The consultant told us that it "would be no problem" to get the tax penalty "knocked off". And that a case consultant would be contacting me soon. I did exchange a couple of emails with a consultant. I did complete a letter that was requested by Ms. Newton. All this was done via email.

I then called JK Harris in July. Spoke to a supervisor who told me that my caseworker was on maternity leave and my file was on her desk. She told me another case consultant would be contacting me.

It is now October. I have not been contacted. I have called repeatedly and left voice mails. I was told by an attendant on the telephone that a new person was now my consultant. I have phoned her repeatedly. Sometimes for a couple of hours straight. I only get voice mail. I have left messages. I was told by the supervisor that the caseworker has called me back one time. I have sat for hours waiting by the phone for them to return my call. I also gave them my cell phone number on the voice mail at least one time. Still no call back.

This morning (10-13-06)approximately 10:15am I began calling the caseworker direct line. It only went to voice mail. I must have called 4 times. Waiting 5 minutes between each call. I finally tried the supervisors line and got an answer. She told me that the caseworker was on another line and that she would call me back as soon as she was off the other call. I tried to explain the situation and with caseworke and supervisor. I hoped to get some kind of information on what was going on with my case. The supervisor advised she did not have my information that caseworker did. And she would call me right back.

I waited an hour and a half. Not even going to the bathroom worried I would miss her call. I finally called caseworkers line back. The first time I got voice mail. The next time caseworker answered. I told her who I was and what supervisor had told me. That I was waiting for her call. Caseworker then told me it was her lunch break and she could not discuss anything with me. She told me that she had answered the phone "by mistake" on her lunch break. She advised she would call me back when her lunch break was over.

It is now over an hour and half since I spoke to caseworker and I have not received any call back from her.

To date I have paid $983.00 and have gotten absolutely nothing in return. I have never had anyone apologize for the lack of communication or resolution.

I file a complain with the Better Business Bureau and JK Harris offered me a measly refund of $112.00. They received the agreement for the refund 12-27-06. I have not seen the refund yet. After speaking to JK Harris 06-07-07, I was told that my refund would be sent on or before 10-05-2007. When I inquired about the delay. I was sent to a voicemail of another supervisor whose greeting tells caller that there is a delay in all refunds due to class action lawsuits. And as usual, the request for people to not leave multiple messages.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, it's paid for!
