J.K. Harris Ripoff Thieves by DECEPTION! Charleston South Carolina

August 2002 I responded to a local newspaper ad for IRS tax relief. Approximately 1 week later I attended a scheduled appointment with a sales represenative from JK Harris. The represenative explained how his firm would be able to propose an "offer in compromise" to the IRS and negotiate my tax debt down to approximately 10% of my original debt. He explained this was possible due to the fact that the IRS would rather collect s portion of my debt rather than nothing at all. My rep. calculated a price of 3600.00 dollars. He then took a down payment from me and set up a payment schedule. I made a total of 3000.00 dollars in a combination of my down payment and then consecutive payments. During this time I was sopposed to receive a package of paperwork I was to fill out and return in order for them to prepare my case. Again after I had paid a total of 3000.00 dollars I had never received my package. I at that time deceided to not send anymore payments until I received my packet. It is now almost 4 years later and I have yet to receive any packages or paperwork of any type.I have made many many phone calls to my represenative and her supervisor. I have had 2 returned phione calls from my represenative Heather Watley and have yet to receive a call from her supervisor Mark Walstrom. Although I was able to speak with Mark Walston 1 time only due to the fact that I beleive a switchboard operator accidentally put me through to him! This was about 2 weeks ago and he said the he himself would send my paprework to me. He then confirmed my address and promised to make a follow up phone call to me to confirm that I had received the package. I have spent most of the day today trying to contact Heather or Mark and have not had any success doing so. I have paid this company 3000.00 dollars and because I did not pay the complete balance due to the circumstances mentioned above their financila department "RAI" have reported my account to the credit bureaus and a charged off account and attatched interest to the 600.00 dollar balance. This is my mind is theft by deception.

I would love to hear from any and everyone who has similar experiences with JK Harris.I feel like if we could all somehow group togather we could all possibly get some serious results
