This is the letter I wrote to my cc company:
November 15, 2005
To Whom It May Concern:
I purchased some software from your real estate program, in June 2005, I was just getting this to see what it was all about and get some ideas on how to earning some extra money. Then in July around the 15th I received a call from the company asking me if I would like to join the mentoring program. The man I spoke to, Mike Reay, told me to join the mentoring program I would have a mentor call me once a week to assist me in purchasing and selling foreclosed and tax lien homes. They would show me the ropes on the whole process. To start I need to give them my credit card number, so they know I was interested in the program, and when once I found a property I was interested in they would assist in the purchasing of the property.
Mike said that the $8,485.00 would be a conservative start to invest with. If you purchase a property for $8,485 on your credit card and then sell it for $20,000, you could pay the credit card off as soon as the statement comes in, and you will have enough left over to purchase your second property without using your credit card."
Mike also told me that they wouldn't charge anything to my credit card until I made my first purchase. I asked him several times if he was sure it wouldn't show up until my first purchase is made and he said yes. So I agreed to it.
I spoke to a mentor and by the second week he asked me where I was getting the money from to invest in my first house, I told him I gave the company my card number so they can help in my first purchase. He told me that that wasn't right, so I called the main office and asked them about the money that was charged to my account before I purchased a property and I was told I must have misunderstood what Mike Reay told me, the money is for the program and mentoring services. I then told them I was lied too, and they told me Well that's to bad, and there is not much you can do, you can't break out of the contract because you already verbally agreed to the services.
After speaking to another mentor, and letting him know I have no money to invest with, he agreed that there wasn't anything he could do with helping me find and purchase a property. Shortly after getting off the phone with him I got a call from a girl from the company, she told me the mentor told her about my situation and she decided to call me and told me: off the record, That I need to go to my Doctor and have her write a note saying that I need to stop, on account of it affecting my health and well being, and then I need to call customer service to find out who I should fax it too. She also told me if that didn't solve the problem that I should let them know that my Doctor will be calling the Better Business Bureau.
I went to my Doctor and she agreed that the stress is affecting my health. She wrote the note on Sept. 28. I faxed it to a lady named Beth Fax# 801-216-3398 on Sept. 29. I have been trying to get them on the phone and I only get the answering machine. I have called several times a week leaving messages, and still till this day, no one has got back to me. Could you please help the stress is getting to me badly.
It is now Dec.28 and I am still disputing with the cc. They keep saying that they can't intervene in situations involving a merchant's return, refund or cancellation policy.
If anyone has any suggestions that I can use to get these evil people out of my life please let me know. I am also willing to get in on the class action suit if there is ever one started, just call me up.

Still waiting for the cc company to call

Greetings everyone and thank you for all the advice. I did send the cc company this web page and I am still waiting for them to get back to me once again.
I also got in touch with the BBB a few months ago. (What a waist of time and energy) they are totally useless. They just sent me there findings. They sent the complaint to the company and waited for a response. After the third time sending the complaint and the company not responding to it, the BBB closed the case with no findings.
I also got in touch with Mike Cox a few weeks ago and left him my situation. I have not heard anything yet, but I am waiting patiently. Thank you, too all that have helped us victims. God Bless

Karren; I'm sorry to hear of your misfortune. Heres what to do. First, read all the reports you can stomach here on John Beck and his disfuntional Family of mentors.
Next,Contact everyone you can about it. Your Senator, congressman, Ftc, IRS, BBB etc. Contact Mike Cox's office (Michigan Attorney General) as I have him working on this as well.
Read my report (from Battle Creek MI) You must become well informed, so you can't let them intimidate you. You can stay one step ahead of them. Get busy ! God Bless you,and let John Beck and his mentor monkeys suffer many earthly punishments before they suffer their ultimate punishment from God.

Wake The F^ck Up Credit Card Companies!!!

Hey there Karen,
I hope that this rebuttal finds you in good spirits and health.
KAREN: It is now Dec.28 and I am still disputing with the cc. They keep saying that they can't intervene in situations involving a merchant's return, refund or cancellation policy.
REID: Everyone knows that this statement is full of dookie, especially considering that John Beck's return, refund, cancellation, and program in general is fraudulent.
Refer your credit card company to this website and have whomever is in charge of your dispute explain why it is over 70 victims of this scam have gotten the fraudulent charges reversed in their favor.
Also, have him or her explain exactly how they believe your situation differs from that of any other victims.
Your credit card company will more than likely give you some kind of lame excuse as to why they so stupidy insist on authorizing charges in which they already know are fraudulent.
Bottom line is, it's your credit card company's money and not yours. John Beck's program like the many other inbreed's peddling fraudulent rags to riches programs are nothing but scams and their bogus contracts hold absolutely no water.
In other words, make your credit card company aware of the fact, that they're the ones that stand to lose out on this $8,485.00, being that they are literally aiding and abetting in fraudulent activities.
Until next time, take care Karen cause I care, Aloha from Hawaii and God Bless.
