After purchasing John Beck's initial tax sale program, I was contacted by affiliate company, Mentoring of America. For $8500 they said they could have me making money in 6-12 weeks through their mentoring program. They gave me a written guarantee to refund my entire investment if I didn't make money back in 12 months. I did everything they said and wasted at least 10 hours a week trying to find the tax sale properties that they advertised and promised were there. They aren't.

They sent me a certificate saying I had completed the program, but I never made a dime. At the end of the 12 months I asked for my money back. They required me to show proof of working the program for the 12 months, which I did back in January 2010. I submitted over 250 pages of proof and that was only half of what I have. They said it should take 2-4 weeks to be processed. Then they wouldn't even return my calls and when they did, it was to give me runaround about being too busy or supervisor on vacation or processing being handled by a different company.

After 2 months of this I started submitting complaints with the BBB and the FTC, etc. I found that the FTC has a court claim against them and that their assets have been frozen. Now they want me to sign an agreement to drop all complaints and not be able to hold them responsible for not paying me before they say they can send me my refund. It states that should anything known or not known cause them to be unable to pay that I can do nothing about it. It also states that I won't allow anyone to see this so-called agreement. And even though there is a place for their "Customer Service Manger" to sign, the signature line is blank. I told them I'm not about to sign it and they say they can't refund my money if I don't. I lose either way. They definately take your money, but they sure won't honor their legal agreements.
