I received an application for a Juniper credit card and ignored it when I saw the fine print said they will give me a credit card with a $500 line of credit for a processing application fee of $395.00.
First of all, I don't pay any fees to apply for or maintain annually, any credit card. Second of all, All my existing credit cards have lines of credit in excess of $5000.00 so why would I want one with a $500 line of credit.
Well as it turns out this place is a big SCAM outfit. If you don't trust me, search their name on the internet. Hundreds of SCAMs will pop up regarding Juniper Bank.
well a month or so after ripping up their credit card application, Juniper sends me a card. They claim I owe $395. I called and declined the card and insisted that it be cancelled. I contacted the OCC (office of the comptroller of currency) that regulates banks and filed a complaint.
Well here we are 2 years later and this SCAM (Rip-Off) outfit has the bill for the credit card up to $1100.00 (includes late fee and finance charges) on something I never ordered.
The bottom line:
The FTC (Federal Trade Commision) and The OCC need to SHUT DOWN this bank and put them out of business.
If you see a response from the scum bags at Juniper bank below, please remember to ignore anything those lying f_**_rs write. Instead do your own search under Juniper Bank Credit Card Scams (or Rip offs) and see for yourself.

It's a federal law that a credit card company cannot send you an unsolicited card. If they did, and activated it for you, then they have broken several laws. By law, if a credit card is sent to you (that you applied for), then you have to call to have it activated (usually from the phone # you listed on the application). I can't see why this is a problem for you. You did nothing wrong, and they certainly can't bill you for something you never asked for.
