I received an email from a man named Justin White this evening who claims that they represent Cash advance usa. Which about 5 years ago I did take a loan with them and thought this was taken care of because I got no emails or calls or even any letters via the mail to inidicate to me that this was not taken care of.
Now 5 years later I get this email telling me that they are filling charges against me which I absolutely have no contract with them and have knowledge of even how much this loan is.
Now, I do believe that there should be a certain amount of time in which these people should be allowwed to collect this money. Why wait 5 years to contact me and send me this email.

Don't contact them or send money - it is a scam

You may have had a loan with a cash advance company 5 years ago, but these people that are contacting you now are scammers. This scam is the Payday Loan Collection scam and has been around for a long time. You can read all about it at the FTC(dot)gov website under consumer scams.
Even if you were to pay these scammers any money they ask for, none of it would go to any payday loan you may owe so don't even consider paying the people that sent you the email.
Don't even contact them. If you do they step up the pressure to have you pay.
If you have already sent them funds, then file a police report and a report at the FTC website.
