Dispatcher telling how many miles to run , how to log the miles , when to start and stop driving . If I'm tired i need to pull over and get some sleep . they want you to log for the most miles and tell you how even if it's not legal After putting my 2 weeks notice i was told they needed my truck and had a load coming back to the yard . They never once metioned the trash that they were putting on my dac report ! I did'nt know anything was wrong untill a recruiter from another said they could'nt hire me because of that . To make a long story short my trucking carrer is ruined ! I'm working on hiring a lawyer but have'nt had any luck so far .

Recruiters lie most of the time

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 09, 2009

It's like the military...ever have a recruiter lie to you? It's the same at K & B...they'll say whatever they want to get you in, move some freight and make the company money. If you don't follow their on-going policies of false logging, you won't last there.

Yes, they will tell you how you should log, regardless if that's what you actually did or not. In my opinion, these guys aren't going to be around much longer if they keep it up. However, the drivers NEED to follow through and file complaints with federal and state agencies, DOT and their elected officials.

Applicant to this Company

AUTHOR: Tao4mind - (U.S.A.)

Was contacted and talked to Shawn about this companies policy to guarantee 2500 miles a week. His claim was most of their drivers log 3500 to 4500 miles a week. Obviously, I questioned the legality of those miles and hours of service, in the FMCSR. Shawn seemed to think the company could show me how to create a legal log for DOT and still run those miles. I have been driving OTR for over ten years and average 2300 to 2500 miles a week. Most of the trucking industry files false DAC reports and will disqualify an experienced driver who will not follow their rules and falsify their logs, drive unsafe equipment, and ignore the DOT, OSHA, FMCSR, and EEOC guidelines. This "code of silence" in the industry is guarded with the DAC system. Any complaint to a government agency will loose an experienced driver his career to a trainee from the thousands of schools. The latest strategy of the trucking industry and Department of Labor is to recruit felons on Probation or Parole who are more likely to violate laws without question. The "safety of the Public" is not in their budget.

After reading thru all of the driver complaints on kb it looks like they always put violated company policy on your dac ! Actually got one of the k b office people to say that sean b puts that on almost all of the dacs . I don't know how they get away with it and when you call and ask the reason they won't say anything specific .
