Reading reports on your web page states exactly what we experienced. We had Jeff Buckau come out to sell siding. He lied that their siding is the thickest siding out there.
We told him we were not ready for the siding until we installed new windows and that would not even be possible until Aug or Sept. He wrote the install date for the siding as June 15. When I told him more that 5 times that June 15 would not be the date he said it was not wrote in stone just a target date. He said he had to put a date down on the contract but that they would call and set up a date later on.
We were turned down for financing so my husband cancelled the siding with the lady that called from the k-design finance company. He thought that it was cancelled until he received a call from Jeff the first week in June and stating that they had the siding loaded on a truck and on it's way. We told him we had cancelled the contract. He told us that we HAD to take the siding and we HAD to pay for it. He said the siding was already the size for our house and it could not be returned. When my husband pressed him that the company could not have already cut the siding the K-Designer person finally said no it had not been cut yet.
We then were called by Mark Whiting and he strong armed us threatening legal action if we did not take the siding. He kept calling even on the day that my husband had returned from surgery. Mark didn't care that he was upsetting my husband so I took over the phone conversation to state that it was uncalled for by him to be upsetting my husband. I informed him I am a RN and that his pushing my husband at this time and upsetting him was not good for his health. Mark didn't care.
He has continued to call and threaten us with legal action if we do not take the siding. We have reported them to the Better Business Bureau and will also report him/k-designs tomorrow to the Attorney Generals Office.
Please all be aware of this horrid company and the selling tactics. Also they DO NOT have the thickest siding as they said. Lies, lies and more lies along with threats and strong arm tactics. Is this the mob or something?

Two sides to every story

AUTHOR: Jeffrey Buckau - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, November 28, 2009

I read with interest this embellished story from the customers in the report.  I am Jeffrey Buckau, who they name and accuse of being a liar.  I am not now, not then, not ever.  I am extremely disappointed in this fictious story from this dishonorable couple.  The siding in question was the Revere brand, Soveriegn Select model and is 0.046 inches thick.  This is one of the thickest in the industry for vinyl siding.  Which is what I told this customer.  I did forward to the company the customers wishes to start after the windows were installed, which is pretty standard stuff.  The contract very specifically states that the start date is an approximate date.  Starting dates get changed for many different reasons, like shipping issues, installer issues, financing, etc.  The customer in this story knew that and they still signed the contract with all of that written out.  Funny how the customer only remembers what they want to make themselves look better.

After leaving their home the day of the sales appointmet, I had no further contact with them.  They report that a Jeff called them the first week of june, which was the branch manager, Jeff Plant.  What is funny is that the customer seems okay with misrepresenting the facts here to deflect the story away from their inability to keep their word with a legally binding contract.  They are good at reporting people and businesses to the BBB and the attorney generals office, but not so good at telling the full truth.  They have made themselves look foolish, they have embarrassed the good people of Bismack, ND and they simply cannot be trusted.  They are landlords in Bismarck, and he works for a coal company in ND.  I am sure that there are other people who these customers have given their word only to find that their word is as good as any politician out there.

I know what kind of company K-Designers is.  I worked for them for a little under a year.  I did what was right, honest and Bibilical at all times.  I can look in the mirror and know that at no time did I misrepresent the circumstances to any customer or potential customer.  The product was a good one, the warranty was a good one, the installers great at what they do, and because of these reasons people who buy from this company can count on it.  The sales training is regimented, difficult, and very good.  Customers sometimes feel pressured because the customer sometimes just can't say no.  We know in sales, that the customer needs to say no several times before they feel good about saying yes.  Otherwise they feel like perhaps they were played.  Think of any salesperson you might know and they will tell you the same thing.

The real issue here is the customer didn't have any accountability to their word on this contract.  If they didn't want the product, they didn't have to sign the contract.  I didn't use a gun to make them sign.  They read the entire contract before signing, and I read it to them also.  They knew what they were doing, and the next day they simply had buyers remorse.  They didn't follow thru with their word.  So the next time you read something negative like this, keep in mind that there is always another side to the story.

SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom was also a victim of this company. First they came much earlier than originally scheduled, she wanted them to come later because she did not have the money to pay right away. My mom's second language is English and they never explained the way the loan they were giving her was handled. She was under the impression that this was a normal loan, but after they finished the job and left she found out they made a VISA card in her name with 23% interest rate. My mom even referred them to her friend and was not never paid the promised $200 referral fee. To make matters worse my mom felt sorry for the workers and even cooked them food! I am disgusted that these people are scamming people. I was also thinking of reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
