K Hovnanian Don't believe what you see or hear Ripoff Beaumont California

I purchased a home in an adult community from this builder. I, along with many, many other owners, are seriously disatisfied with the manner in which this builder has responded to our multitude of issues. My issue is that I was shown, and even had to sign for, a particular model design. Well, come time to move in and the design exterior is NOT what I signed for and or what the model showed. The builder's representatives locally have refused to make it right. They put on the wrong roof, and provided me with only $4000 in design center credits. This meager amount for the wrong roof!! And they put on the wrong brick on the face of the house, but now refuse to make any changes to correct it. I've had a hot water pipe break in the house after only one week. It ruined the walls in my home office and it took them three weeks to repair it because the sub contractors did such a lousy job the first time, it had to be re-done. In the meantime I was forced to work from my dining room for three weeks. Grout along the tile in the kitchen was cracking after only a few weeks. Tile on the kitchen countertop was cracked, and when replaced was replaced with a different shade of white.This builder is not only difficult to deal with, they feel that if you've bought the place and closed escrow, you're on your own. I would NEVER again buy a place from this builder and am cautioning anyone who is considering buying from this builder to investigate each item you sign for, are verbally told, and watch them like a hawk. They hire inadequate subcontractors. Their sales people are deceptive. And they are non responsive to problems that occur after you've given them your money. We are a secure adult community and are paying for security and a community center, neither of which are completed after 6 months of residency. We've already had one robbery in a home. There is NO security, anyone is allowed to come and go as they please.
