Kaplan University Online Stipend Missing 30 Days and Counting..No Response and NO Contact Info! Internet

I have been attending Kaplan online for quite a while.  The financial aid department is sub par.  There are about 2 to 3 people decent but its the luck of the draw as to who you get.  When  I was to receive my first degree (Associates) I was told I owed an added $1200 in order to receive my degree.  They said I finished sooner than scheduled and was paid more in stipends that allotted.  I said how did YOU not catch this at least mid way through?  I went ahead and chalked it up to transfer credits being counted later than first given award amounts and paid it and continued on with the Bachelor degree program since I only needed half the credits to get it.  This University is more like "do it yourself, figure it out yourself etc.." Many of the Professors do not answer emails when you need assistance.  I have experienced this with 3 different Professors.  Luckily, there are two teachers in my family who have helped me through the times I needed help.

      Now my stipend check has been missing for weeks and coming toward months.  The online site shows a paid status that is not accurate and then the staff in the financial aid department justifies this by saying the paid status only reflects when the checks have arrived to the University and not when they have been mailed out to us.  Ok, fine whatever, right?!  So I get the information and email address to contact Kaplan about stipend checks missing.  They refuse to give an address or phone number.  They have not contacted me at all.  

The financial aid department states that the check has to be missing for 30 plus days before they even begin to investigate!  It is my understanding that I am being charged interest for the unsubsidized loan portion as soon as the funds are disbursed to the school (I may be incorrect but I believe I am reading the terms correctly).  Now, if someone has stolen my stipend check wouldn't it make more sense to get on the ball and investigate at least 10 days after the mail and issue date?  Isn't this in essence a criminal act?  Who is to say they mailed out the check?  

At the very least an attorney and the department of education should take note and help the thousands of us out there who have had continuous fininacial aid issues with Kaplan University.  If any of you are like me and out there, lets join together and demand change...we are responsible at the end of the day for the student loans so the University should be accountable for the actions of the financial aid department.  How are they still accredited and able to be misleading.  I don't care if the Washington Post owns them or not, they above all should champion the truth, they are a leading Newspaper!
