KEL's actions on my case amount to malpractice. They failed to address documents which I sent to them. They acknowledged receipt of those documents and said that they would be addressed by the attorney in charge of my case. The attorney did not advise the plantiff on my case that I was represented by counsel. They did not notify the courts that I was represented by counsel. I paid them to defend me and they put my documents on a shelf to be ignored.
The next thing I knew was that I received the Summary Final Judgement for Foreclosure for the sale of the property. KEL didn't know that they were suppose to be representing me. The house was lost in foreclosure since KEL did absolutely nothing to negotiate a loan modification, or short sale...they hung us out to dry while they took our money and did nothing. Stay away from KEL... do not give them any money.

If the represenation you received fell short of the accepted standard of care, if you received representation that was incompetent, or if you were mislead by this law firm you may have a potential case for Legal Malpractice. In Florida where your Legal Malpractice case would be brought the statute of limations is two years. As such you should consult a legal malpractice attorney or a top foreclosure defense attorney for an appropriate reverral or evaluation of whether you have a case. You may also consider reporting they attorney in question to the Florida Bar. A form for making such a report can be found at the Flordia Bar Website. www.flabar.org.
