I purchased a 50 plus 6 car hauler wedge with the trailer hauling package in December 2017. When I picked the trailer up in Nebraska I immediately noticed that it had a poor runny paint job and that several areas of fabrication were carelessly performed, sloppy welding joints, distortion, etc. To date I have used it once, to transport 3 enclosed cargo trailers. Unloading those three trailers was a 3 hour nightmare. I needed a forklift to assist getting each of the trailers off, primarily because of 2 design flaws.

The flip over ramps at the rear of the trailer served as a very effective wheel chock which I could overcome only by the use of a forklift. Secondly the design of the rail and ball tower is such that the balltower binds in the rail (both side to side, and also fore and aft) because of an excessively sloppy fit, and also because the inside surfaces of the rail is unpainted, rough, and rusty. It needs to glide smoothly. This condition is exacerbated by a rough weldment between the rail segments.

There is no way those cargo trailers would roll off. Please recognize that the side to side play between the balltowers an the rail contribute to the cargo trailer wandering off to the side as it rolls back, (or refuses to do so). After a single use of 3 balltowers for this task, each of them is damaged, that is to say bent, because the base plate of the towers is too flimsy. I have numerous photos of several areas of concern that I have submitted to the company.

The warranty person has helped me almost nothing and finally stated that the design and workmanship of this trailer is what it is, and there is nothing they are going to do about it. No 30 day money back guarantee, no buyers remorse clause, no redesign of the rail, no retrofit of any kind, and finally no cash allowance for me to have the rail structure redone on my own. My advice: Don't buy a Kaufman trailer. They are not a reputable company that seeks customer satisfaction. You will be left twisting in the breeze as I am.
