Hello,
I am filing this rip-off report because I purchased a 2001 Acura CL S from Kellie Auto Sales a buy here pay here dealer. I purchased the vehicle on 02/04/2011 and on 02/07/2011 I went to the dealer to report issues with the vehicle because it was driving as if the transmission was about to go. When we went to the dealer they said they would have someone contact me concerning this matter. I contacted them several times and on 02/11/2011 I was able to get someone by the name of Chris on the line from Finance who referred me to A-Team Transmissions to check the transmission and advised that they can take the cost of repairing off the purchase of the vehicle or replace vehicle verbally. I went to have the transmission examined and the transmission on 02/11/11 and was advised the transmission was faulty and ready to fail and they gave me a quote on the cost to repair the transmission. I then had A team Transmissions fax a copy of the quote to Kellie Auto Sales.
I contacted Kellie Auto Sales and they said they did not receive the fax. I then faxed them a copy myself of my quote. Kellie Auto Sales indicated that they will call me back they will see if they can switch me into another vehicle. I did not hear anything from them for 24 hrs so I contacted them again. Everytime I would call to speak to Chris I would be told he is with a customer he would call me back. I never received a call back.
I purchased the vehicle as is however I would think I can drive the vehicle for more than a week before having problems. I went up to the dealer today 02/18/2011 and they refused to assist in switching vehicles or deducting cost of repairs from the cost of the vehicle.
This dealer is so manipulating, the day we purchased the call I could not believe the customer service they displayed I even mentioned it to the finance person when signing my papers. They were so nice and when they have my money they avoid calls and do not want to speak to me. I just do not understand how a dealer can stay in business ripping people off and why there are no laws to protect consumers against preditors such as this dealer. I hope you can assist me in anyway you can. I would be happy to get my down payment of $1300.00 back I do not even want another vehicle from them.
Thank you in advance.
Shameka

Kellie Auto Sales turned a unsatisfied customer to a satisfied customer

I would like to remove my complaint on Kellie Auto Sales. I received a call from the Sales Manager and he was really nice and apologized for the experience I had with them and replaced the vehicle with a new vehicle. They actually stayed in the office after they closed to assist me with getting another car. I think they made up for the bad experience I had.
