Visited store on 11/9/07 at 1235 pm. There was a line of 17 customers and only ONE server/counter person; a man named "Luis" who did not seem to understand English as he kept preparing orders for the people on line "TO GO"
ignoring or not understanding they all wanted to eat IN the restaurant ! He also had trouble counting the number of pieces of chicken being ordered, had to un-wrap the orders he had packaged "TO GO" and in general did not seem to have any idea how to do his job ! Waited on line 12 minutes before being served. Saw people leave without buying food as they had no more time. Tables were dirty and very shakey so that when we sat down and put our drinks on the table - they spilled because the tables were not level ! All the workers at thisstore are Hispanic and NOT ALL THE EMPLOYEES HAVE A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE ! This is the only KFC in the area and KFC is getting a bad name because of how poorly this restaurant is being run - in Flemington, the County seat of Hunterdon County, NJ

This is my own experience

Only a month ago my husband and I decided to go to KFC on Sunday after church, for a change. When we got there there were 2 other customers in line and the order taker seemed to be confused about the orders. We could overhear the conversations in the back that they were out of "extra-crispy" and they only had original dark. One of the people ahead of us had ordered a bucket with all white extra crispy and they were told that they would have to give him a few original pieces because they had to make another batch. This is 12:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday! DO these people know that it is lunchtime and they should have plenty of chicken ready. it is not that they had a crowd or anything like that.
Needless to say, we were getting worried, because we wanted some original and some extra crispy, so when our turn came up, I asked "How long will it take to make more chicken?" and their answer was 15 minutes because we have to wait until we totally run out of chicken. Can you imagine. 15 minutes and they had not even started a new batch??
We turned around and went somewhere else to have lunch, but still can not understand their logic of waiting until they run out of chicken to start cooking it.

There's one in Hackettstown

There's one in Hackettstown also so you can just go in the other direction to hit a KFC if it's that important. But, I think immigrants work there also.
I drove by Hunterdon Central the other day and was surprised to see all the foreign students around it so immigrants working in the area fast food joints really wouldn't surprise me. There are far more working in the "fancy" restaurants of Bernardsville.

It's a piece of chicken, calm down

As my title suggests, it's a piece of chicken, nothing worth getting your blood pressure this high over.
Okay-here is what you do, rather than complain to us, rather overbearingly I might add, speak to the manager. Tell the manager what you saw and that Luis really could use a hand to get the orders correct and customers serviced.
The fact that you're the county seat of somewhere - no one cares, you may want to get over that too.
Luis is making minimum wage and is trying, he could use some help. Suggest this to the manager.
If none of this works, heck, find the kitchen in your home, fry up some chicken and problems all go away with the hispanics you obviously don't like.
I live in Arizona and we have a huge problem with illegal hispanic people. Like it or not, they live here too. Try to get along and get the chip off your shoulder, you'll be MUCH happier.
