My husband registered for a golf cart in the mall and was contacted by Kis Country Club and Golf Academy. They called him 3 times and finally the third time, he agreed to come in to their office. We went in on June 6, 2008 and listened to there spill. They offered us 3 sets of golf clubs and a vacation package deal for $170.00 a month for 24 months. We thought that was a good deal and we agreed we would do this deal. When we got in the car and were heading home, I pulled the paper work out and was looking over it. I noticed that they had checked the package that was $9515.00. I told my husband that $170.00 a month for 24 months doesn't equal $9515.00. So the very next day, we called back to the office and were told we could not cancel because we signed the paper work and it states not canceling. But I advised the gentleman that we did not agree on the price being $9515.00. We agreed on $170.00 a month for 24 months. He said he was sorry and that there was a mistake in the paper work and for us to come back. So we did. We went back to the store and spoke with Katie the finance lady. She told me that we would get me approved with a different credit card company, that I was mistakely put with the wrong company. I told no I wanted to talk with someone first. So, Tim Peyton came to speak with my husband and me. He told us that he was really sorry and that there was just a mistake with the company that we had been placed with. That Katie the lady that handles the financing was out the day that we had came in. He said that he would send us on a free vacation for our troubles. I told him no that this was not what we had agreed to and that we wanted out. He told me that there would be no problem with canceling the contract, but I would need to speak with the owner Steve Faust and he would be in tomorrow. In the meanwhile, Katie came back to us and said she had gotten me approved thru Bank of America. I told her no, that I didn't give her permission to rerun my credit or approval for another company. They all apologized and said we would need to come back and speak with Steve.

So the next day my husband and I went back to the golf store, sat down and spoke with Steve. Steve offered to give us the 3 golf club package for the price of a one-person deal. He said it would be around $154.00 a month for 60 months. I told him no, we agreed to $170.00 a month for 24 months and that is what I was willing to do. He said there was no way that he could get it for that and that he would cancel the contact with corporate. He advised me that I would get a letter within 10 days from the credit card company telling me that it had been canceled. I said ok and he ask me to bring the clubs back. On Monday July 7th, 2008 my husband and I brought the clubs back to Steve and Steve took all of my paper work except what I got as a copy.

The ten days had past and I had not heard anything and the payment on the GE credit card was due. I called the golf store and ask to speak with Steve. Paul told me that he was on vacation, so I ask to speak with Katie, she's on vacation also. I told Paul what was going on and that I was upset because the payment was due today and the account has not been canceled. Paul got in touch with a Mark Word from the Nashville, Tn store. Mark advised me that Steve could not help me and that I had to pay the $9515.00 to GE because they had already been paid for it. Mark said that Steve did not have the authority to cancel and that the contract would not be canceled. Mark did delay the payment on the credit card account, until Saturday July 19th, 2008. He did tell me on Tuesday July 15th, 2008 that he was willing to let us pay $5000.00 for all 3 sets of golf clubs, which would be $170.00 a month for 24 months. But this was after fighting with him over the phone for hours. He stills says that we cannot cancel.
