Knuckle of Fitness is shady with money! DO NOT JOIN!!! Atlanta Georgia

First of all, the manager at the Knuckle Up Fitness, on Roswell Rd in Sandy Springs, GA is named "CJ". The district manager (like the VP or something) is named Dave Mullikin. Knuckle up is a nice gym...but they LIE TO YOU when you join. This is how they lied to me:

1) I was supposed to get a free 1-week trial to sign up, but after my first visit, they tell me if I don't sign up today, that I'll have to pay hundreds more in enrollment fees, monthly fees, and some mo' s**t.
2) They said I'd be getting some school discount for being a student...but no matter how much you think you are negotiating...every 1-yr contract member gets the same deal, $59.95 per month.
3) There is a stupid $25 maintenance fee on your contract that you have to pay once a year (usually around Jan or Feb). I asked about this before I signed, and "CJ", the manager at the Sandy Springs Location, said I wouldn't have to worry about it that members don't usually pay it. HE LIED! I received a bill for it in the mail, and when I didn't pay the bill, they charged the credit card I had on file.
4) I was supposed to receive a $25 personal check addressed to me for referring another member, however I have not recieved this yet (its been like 8 months), and they keep trying to offer me a $25 gift card. NO! I want my check, however since my friend didn't write my name as a referrer on the contract when he signed up, they are acting like I can't get my check! They just keep blowing me off.

After reading the other Knuckle Up Rip-Off reports on here, I"m not sure if I trust Duvera, or ASF...their financial companies. As soon as my 1yr is up, I'm cancelling my credit card. This gym is too shady.

A rule of thumb..DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THAT THEY, OR ANYONE ELSE WHEN NEGOTIATING A CONTRACT, TELLS YOU! If its not in writing, its not legally binding.

DO NOT JOIN KNUCKLE UP! YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF IS SOME WAY! If you have been ripped off by this gym or feel disrespected in some way, file a report here! Also, you can call the corporate office at 678.205.5336. This is a secret number they don't want anyone to have, but here it is! Let your voice be heard!
