My credit Score has been impacted becuase of Kohls error, even after I reported the issue and they acknowledged there was an issue when system(?) were swtiched.

I had carried an active Kohls card, on and off, depending on the discount season an need for many years.  One year, to keep things simple I decided to switch to on-line statements and payments.

Since I signed up for on-line statements, I expected that when the bills were ready, I would get a on-line bill. Since most of my payments are on-line, and that is usually how billing operates, and do not worry or notice when I don't get a bill.

One day, I got an "overdue" letter. This confused me. I scanned my trash, my spam, and my inbox and could not find a statement. Feeling very foolish, I apologized and paid the bill. Keep in mind, I assumed I was in the wrong becuase I had been getting all the promotions.

Same thing happened again! I get promotions on-line, but no statements. Next thing I know I get a 30 (of couse, I am not expecting it).  So I started noticed that - I never actually recived on-line or a paper statement for months. I simply got overdue bills and was charged late fees Plus interest.  

When I called the customer service, they  thoght maybe I gave them an incorrect e-mail address, or I cxhanged it and did not inform. Strange, becuase everything but the bills came through. After I did a round of checks, I was told that this error would not happen again. While she was on line, I tried to log in, and realized I couild not access my on-line account.  She then told me, at some point on 2012 or 2013 (I don't recall), something had changed and cutomers should have reregistered their cards and accounts.  I reminded her that we got no such notice, and asked her how I should go about it. Basically, it was like reacreating the whole account like you never existed. Yet, promoitional materiall came through and bills did not.  Given the informatyion, I asked her to remove this "late" incidents.  And then, so I never I had to deal with this hassle, closed all my Kohls accounts in 2014. 

  It is now 2015, and my credit reports shows late Kohls charges.  This has impacted my cerdit scxore and my abilityto get a loan.

 

I often wonderred how much money they made between late fees and interest for those "late" fees.  I feel strongly that there should have been a class action suit for this incident.  I only became aware of  it when my revisited my credit score and decided to check if this was a recurring issue.  If this was heppneing to me, I was pretty sure that it must have happened to to other people.

 

I need my credit updated by Kohl's. If this cannot be done, I will pursue an appeal for class action.
