LA Fitness Personal Training Services --SCAM Deceitful and Unethical "Person Trainer" Services Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

I was excited and knew I needed to get back to exercising so I signed myself and my son into the family plan. Great idea.  A little steep for the membership fee - special price $199 and $50/month.  Great!  The 2nd time we went I thought I'd check out the "Personal Trainer" service.  Major MISTAKE".  I sat down to find out all about it. They are a reputable fitness club, right?  The first thing the salesman did was had me sign the contract and initial 4 check boxes and a checklist all the while stating "let's do this real quick, I'll set up your account and then I will go over everything in detail.  I did and he scanned the paperwork into the computer and unbeknown to me folded and stapled it to the inside back copy of the exercise journal.  He then went into a long speel on health and exercising and was very personable walking me around showing me 3 exercises and watching me do them.   Well actually that was the "Personal Training" service which ended up to $189.00 and $90 /mth for 2 25 minute sessions a month.  Who makes $180 / 55 min!!!  La Fitness.  Unbelievable!  SCAM. I could not believe my assigned "Personal Trainer" a 20-year-old covered in tattoos job was just that.  After the 2nd session I confronted the salesman to cancel my membership.  Actually he turned out to be the GeneralManager but said he had to call his manager.  I went to exercise and stopped back afterwards.  His manager hadn't called back.  He said stop by tomorrow.  I did.  No response.  I called the following day and he told me he'd call me when he got a response. in the meantime I contacted my bank to stop the charges. Meanwhile a month went by with no response from the General Manager.

 I disputed the charges with credit card company - initial fee $189 which was supposed to be $80 had been posted but the $90 monthly fee was rejected. Dispute unresolved. I cancelled the credit card.
