In June of 2009 I cancelled my membership with LA Tan because lack of time with two small children.  When I cancelled, the girl at counter encouraged me to freeze my account in case I ever want to return to salon again and that if I didn't that I would be charged a fee to resign on again.  I did this and they began taking $3.20 out of my account each month.  I was told that at the end if I still chose not to reopen my account that I would receive credit for the full amount of money that was taken out. 

Well, I began reviewing my bank statement from the past few months and seen where they began taking out $26.74 from my account the past two months.  When I contacted the store, I was informed that I had signed a freeze and that there was nothing they could do to help me since my signature was on file.  I informed her that she could look at her records and see I had never been back in since the day I cancelled my membership.  She said there's nothing she can do now to get my money back because it's TOO LATE...I hadn't CANCELLED! 

I am very upset with the etiquette that was used with this company.  It's not "Megan's" fault, but the corporation.  In times like to today, you would think they would do whatever it takes to gain a customer's business!  However, guess they're not worried since they can take your money anyway!!  Now, I am very alarmed that this company has my banking information on file.  What could they do to me in the future?  Can't believe they can get by with something like this.  They should have to contact someone before they can begin withdrawing money from someone's account or have a signature on file to say it was approved!
