Lakewood land company Breach of contract Knoxville, Tennessee

I am an 62 year old Vietnam Veteran that was hoping to buy my dream piece of land at Lake Chatuge in Georgia. I met with this company, Lakewood Land Company, and felt pressure to put a contract on the land because they literally make you feel like it is a chance of a lifetime. Trust me it's not. I did but was not able to attain financing and could not purchase it. They threatened to sue me for not purchasing the land. THEY breached their OWN contract!!! I ended up getting my down payment back but it was not easy like a normal real-estate contract or transaction. They should be investigated. I did not realize it but they have a terrible rating. Best of luck, go through traditional avenues of purchasing land. The old saying is true " if it sounds too good to be true it IS too good to be true!"
