We went to Larry Miller earlier this year and purchased a used Toyota. They start out by presenting a white sheet of paper with their proposal on it....then we counteroffered and they came back with a number we agreed on. We signed the sheet, and after approving our credit, they then directed us to the financial office to finalize the deal.
When I looked at the agreement, I noticed the number was not what we agreed to. The guy said, oh that includes the fees, etc. I was by that time running a fever and coming down with the flu. We finished up and went home with both of us sick for a week. The car was not ready for a few days and when I got better I went to pick it up. They said they had done some servicing but would not tell me what. I asked for service report showing what they had done, but they "couldn't give it me."
I then went in to the sales department and asked to see the sale manager on duty. I was directed to a guy in an office. I asked him to let me have a copy of the white proposal sheet that we had signed. He said no. Said they did not give those out, not even a copy. I expressed my dismay and he said he would look into it and get back to me. That never happened. I have called several times but always get a voice mail and never get a call back. The salesman "knows nothing about it" etc.
Basically, they overcharged us more than $900. I'm not sure what our next step will be but we're not done.

"When I looked at the agreement, I noticed the number was not what we agreed to."
You caught the discrepancy but agreed to the altered price when you signed the agreement.
"I'm not sure what our next step will be"
Your next step will be to pay the agreed price for the car.

Some car dealers will never learn Treating customers good will always get repeat business but some of them like to take advantage of every customer that walks on the lot. Many car dealers know that if they don't take advantage of you somebody else will. They would rather take the profit piss you off and not worry about you ever coming back again many car dealerships just do not care.
Now the power is in your hands. Go to Walgreens and buy yourself a small bottle of white shoe polish. Put whatever comments that you want about your feelings as to how you feel about your dealership that you went to. Write those comments on your back window of your car. Then go to the dealership Saturday morning and cruise through the lot real slow
Encourage everybody to go to the ripoff report and read your complaint. Make sure you mention the ripoff report in your posting on the back window of your car. Mention your ripoff report number. Each ripoff report that people post has a number assigned to it at the very top left
Print off a copy of your rip off report print the printer friendly version it's there take it to Kinko's and make a bucket load of copies. What you do you go to a dealership real early in the morning before they open up. And you stick a bunch of them underneath the wiper blades on the cars on display that are on the frontline. Then you go over to another local Toyota dealership and put a bunch of the rip off reports underneath their windshield wipers on the front line.
You have to stuff the reports under the wiper blades real early in the morning or late at night.
