In February this law office reported that I owe them $1,396.00 with no information on the account. When I try to call the Company it is just a automated machine that gets me nowhere .
I am in the process of trying to clean up my credit but a $1,396 debt is a debt you want to know exactly where it came from and why, which is information that this company cannot provide me with. Considering I have never been in New York and have never heard of this company before, I am confident in saying this is a fraudulent report on my credit report.
I have no problem paying off my debt but I refuse to pay off a bogus debt to a company I have never heard of that cannot give any information on the account they say I owe on.

Lawyer Mitch Kay is also involved with Plaza Associates and MKM Acquisitions. His organizations have a bad reputation for FDCPA and FCRA violations. They hire under-trained semi-desperate collectors who are hell-bent on a paycheck at any cost.
CAUTION: I recommend you NEVER disclose your bank account or credit card information to a debt collector, as you risk them emptying your account, or maxing out your credit card. If you feel they are reporting on your credit bureau files in error or need assistance in dealing with them, email the details w/your location. Assistance and referral to a consumer legal specialist may be available.
