It was brought to my attention that Lease Financial Group was asking for a payment of 6946.16 for a lease from 4 years ago; this a non-cancelable lease. It has also been brought to my attention that account is now in collections. The collections company is threatening to take me to court over this matter.
I have called your company at 1(312)980-5600 and talked to their customer service department on two different occasions; I was redirected to: their assigned collection agency, and merchant services. No one can seem to answer any of my questions. When I talked to a representative at Merchant Services; the representative said there was never a machine order for Ronald Richmond (Richmond Home Maintenance) or Services through Merchant Services. The person who signed me up for the machine (D. Hall) called to set up an account; he told merchant services that it was to be a reprogram. This means that I was to supply my own machine or D. Hall was to provide a machine. Merchant Services explained that D. Hall never called back with the serial numbers for the machine; they do not have record of any machine for Ronald Richmond (Richmond Home Maintenance) or any use of service. When I explained my situation to Merchant services; the representative told me that my transaction with Lease Finance Group wasn't complete; if I never gave verbal verification that the machine works ok, and that I understood that the contract was non-cancelable. I know I didn't do this because I canceled with D. Hall the very next day. He tried to bring me a machine but I wouldn't take it. As far as I know the law states; I have 3 days to cancel any product or service, if I change my mind. Mr. Hall was very insistent that I get the machine, but I never accepted the machine. I filled all the paper work out before I received the machine; which was a bad move on my part. The contract that I signed stated that I received the machine; at the persistence of D. Hall I signed the contract. When I took a look at my finances I realized that wasn't the best decision for my company at the time. I was just starting out. No way was I able to afford 100.00 dallars month.
Which now leads me to ask the questions; what am I suppose to be paying for? There was never a machine. There was never any service; never a verbal agreement. Who received the money for the financing? Why couldn't I cancel this service before the 3 days by law? They do not have a verbal agreement for me? Why, even after non-payment on lease; did it take 4 years to finally close this account?
To sum things up; I would appreciate if I can get some answers to these questions and more. If I am responsible for paying for something; I should know exactly what I am paying for and who the money went to in the beginning. All that I seem to be paying for is signing a piece of paper; no other transaction was entered into.
