LEGAL HOME LOAN SOLUTIONS THOMAS C MATEVIA P.A ANOTHER VICTIM TAKEN FOR LOAN MODIFICATION AND AUTO MODIFICATION JUPITER, Florida

I Deborah Barnard paid a total amount of $3,049 as of June 4, 2010 for a Car and Loan Modification under a contract signed with Thomas C. Matevia P.A. LHLS, located at 2300 S US HWY 1, Suite 203-319, Jupiter, FL 33477. In December 2010, I received written notice from Mr. Matevia stating that they had exhausted all of their financial resources and were closing down their office, therefore, they could no longer represent me in these matters. To my knowledge no papers were ever filed and my house should not be in foreclosure.

He took my money and never did anything to represent me and did not return any funds. Currently, my home is being foreclosed, and I have no other resource to turn to for help. I do not have the money to retain a different attorney because I never received any finds back from Mr. Matevia. Also in the letter received from mr. Matevia in December, he stated that I could request all case related documents online at casenotes@legalhomeloansolutions.com which does NOT exist. I feel that there has been a grave injustice done here and because of Mr. Matevia's unprofessional behavior I am losing my home.

He is supposed to represent the law and help people when in fact he is a scam artist who takes advantage of people at their lowest time and in financial hardship. I also found out that it is illegal in the state of Florida for an attorney to request any funds up front for a Mortgage Modification and that is exactly what he did. In final, Mr. Matevia stole my money and then stated that he is going out of business due to his own professional financial hardship. I feel that he should be disbarred from practicing law permanently and criminal charges should be brought up against him for fraudulent and negligible behavior. I also know that there are 36 other complaints regarding the same exact details with BBB.
