Today, February 4, 2011, at 2:42 pm, I received a phone call from a certain Eva stating that she was calling from the Law Offices of Thomas Matevia, (561) 290 0022. She stated that she was calling me as she was "wo5rking" on my loan modification.

I indicated that I had fired them some time in December and had subsequently received a letter from them dated December 22, 2010, to the effect that they had exhausted all their resources and were closing their office in Jupiter. I told "Eva" thatI had filed a number of complaints with every possible agency handling fraudulent loan modifications, local;ly and nationally and that i wanted my $2,500 back. "Eva" answered that she couldn't return my money as "all our resources have been exhausted (sic)" but that she would keep working diligently on my modification. I specifically told Eva that my file is to be closed and that they no longer contact anyone from my mortgagees and that I would file criminal charges if they persisted and did not immediately cease and desist.

Since 5 agencies are currently investigating Thomas Matevia, I will now gladly put them on notice that Mr. Matevia is now harassing former clients with allegations of "working" on loan modifications he no longer has any right to touch.

Even if it takes me3 years, I will not rest until Mr. Matevia has been brought to justice and has reimbursed me my $2,500. In the meantime, if anyone is receiving phone calls from his law offices after having paid them for a loan modification which never happened,I strongly suggest you report them to O.F.R., the F.B.I., Florida Bar Association, Florida Attorney General and the U.S. Postal Service.
