Company did not deliver as promised and further refuses to ship product overnight. Very poor business practice. Two weeks ago they promised delivery the following week. They did the same last week, promised delivery this week. Today they are telling me they will ship next week but will not overnight the lenses. They are an internet company they should have an inventory of all products on the shelf. Their response has been "The lenses have not come in yet" No initative to try and apease customer. Their attitude is simply 'Thats tough you will just have to wait' The internet does not need this type of business practices.

There's a very good reason why your eye doctor sells contact lenses and glasses. It's because he or she will give you the best and most comprehensive care.
What this sounds like is that the Contacts you ordered(I assume they are contact lenses, you didn't specify)are on a manufacturer's back order. Both Ciba Vision (makers of Freshlooks and Focus lenses)and Bausch and Lomb (Purevision, Soflens) have had very long back orders over the last few months. I've even been told up to 9 weeks for some Focus lenses. If that's the case, which it might be, there is nothing that an internet site can do about it.
If that website had given you your eye exam, they could substitute a comparable lens, but legally they are not allowed to do that. ONLY YOUR DOCTOR can do that!!
Next time, spend the extra couple of bucks at the doctor's office, it's worth it. It you want to save money on your lenses ask the doctor if there's a lens with any rebates available, there almost always are, but most importantly, remember that contact lenses are medical devices that are inserted into your body and should be treated as such.
