On August 4, 2009 I placed an order for my sons contacts. Since I had ordered this same prescription on November 12, 2008 and they shipped the wrong prescription that time, I called to verify that they would send the correct one this time. I was assured that they had the correct prescription on file that I emailed to them back in November.

When the order arrived my son opened the box and put his new contacts in. When he told me that they sent the wrong prescription again I was shocked. I had specifically taken the time to contact them to make sure that this didnt happen again. I called and spoke to a customer service rep and explained what had happened. She told me that it wasnt a problem and that if I wanted, I could place another order to get the correct prescription and it would be shipped out and that I would receive it in a week or two. She then told me I would be charged again for the second order but that once they received the first order that I would have to ship back (and pay for myself) that they would credit my debit card back.

After I shipped the order back I received an email that I needed to send a copy of my sons prescription by email again. I thought it was kind of odd considering that this order was a re-order but I complied and sent it anyway.

The next day I received a box from lens.com. I thought that it was the 2nd order but it wasnt. The post office had sent my first order back to me. They did so because their return label was designed so poorly that when viewed it looked as if I was the recipient  not lens.com. I called their company again and verified that they had in fact not received the box and I would still be charged for the 2nd order until they received the first.

I went back to the post office and they cut up their return label and placed a new one (which I filled out) on the box and I shipped it out again to them.

So not only did I have to pay to ship the order back, but I had to go to the post office twice because they couldnt get my order straight.

Then on August 30th I get another box from their company with the contacts I had sent back to them. They sent me a note saying that they could not accept the items back because they were opened. They said that it was company policy and that it was my responsibility to check and make sure that they sent me the correct perscription. They request a copy of the perscription and verify it by calling the doctor and it's my resposibility to make sure they sent me the correct perscription?

REALLY.... After everything that I went through after all the mistakes that they made they're going to make me pay for them. They sent the wrong prescription and made me jump through all those hoops and now they're going to make me pay for their mistake. Of course the box was opened. My son expected the contacts to be the right prescription. I told their CSR thats how I found out that they made a mistake.

They promised that if I sent the contacts back to them that I would get the funds credited back to my account. I held up my part, They didn't  hold up to theirs.

Between MySpace, Facebook and Twitter I have several hundred friends. My sons have ten times as many and their 100's of friends have thousands more. I'll be telling all of them my story and that Lens.com should not even be a last resort let alone a choice at all.

I'm going to make sure that from a Public Relations standpoint this is the most expensive mistake that they've ever made.  Tell everyone you know "Lens.Com are liars, incompetent and are not to be trusted"
