I purchased two cell phones through the LetsTalk rebate program which promised $200 rebate. Their rebate program like many other rebate programs are designed to maximize the possibility to miss it. Lots of paperwork must be collected and filled and they are very restrictive when you must send in the paperwork. They succeeded in their goal with me and I missed the date and the rebate was rejected. I sent in all the papers and numbers and forms and I am still using the Verizon service.

They do not give you much time in practice. I emailed to their customer service but have got one reply just asking the order number. I even emailed to the CEO (if it went through). I did receive the only respond day after emailing to the CEO. It has been months without any respond. Nokia and Verizon responded the next day, LetsTalk scam procedure seems to advice not responding to the consumers, they will eventually get tired. My advice do not even consider LetsTalk, it is a company that does not deserve to be in business. Pass the word to others, people have the power.

After about 10 months of fighting I did receive my $200 rebate from Letstalk.com. I am not sure if it was the emails to the CEO, persistence, ripoffreport.com or that their system is just slow but I did receive the checks and they are cashed. Just wanted to publish the good news too. Good luck to others with their fights. My story is a good example where persistence will get you. Don't give up.

I got tired for emailing and waiting so I called LetsTalk.com. After a normal wait I discussed with a rep. First they said the rebate was denied because it was sent late. I referred to the email they send me (attached) stating it wasn't denied. He talked with someone (supervisor) after which the conclusion was that I had earlier re-faxed the rebate forms and receipts to an old fax number and I needed to do it again to another fax number and wait another 6 weeks. So back to waiting, we'll see if this is another way to play their games or is the rebate check on its way. I'll keep you posted.
