I signed up with them on Oct. 8. They sounded legitimate, even telling me that the other company I was trying to go through did it wrong. Ok cool. So I review the agreement, pay my money and think, awesome, I made the first step. Then things started getting weird. I have a credit karma account that I alway review. Credit karma alerts me that items have been removed from my credit on the 11th. It was about time for them to fall off anyway, and since I had barely signed up, I knew Lexington didn't do that. Then this month, November, I receive notices from them stating they had items removed from my credit. Ummmm....no, no, you didn't. Secondly, I receive a letter they had sent to one of my creditors that had been returned to incorrect mailing address. I open it, only to find out this whole time, they've been physically signing my name. In fact they aren't even spelling it correctly. My name is very distinct and it needs to be spelled correctly because it can be confused with many others. I contacted a woman named Lindsay through chat and asked her to send me verbatim where is states they can physically sign my name. She sends me the document, then when I tell her it doesn't give them permission anywhere to sign my name, she accuses me of not reading the full document. I'm an English major. I can read and process a short document like that in three minutes. It's not difficult. She attempts to tell me that giving them limited power of attorney means they can sign my name. No! No one is allowed to physically sign your name. They can sign their name in power of attorney, but not my name. I cancelled the service, which they did, but no response to the refund. So now begins the arduous process of disputing the charges and contacting an attorney regarding forgery. BEWARE!!! Unless you want a company who will send copy and paste letters to your creditors and sign your name for you, I'd steer clear.
