Stay away from LG Washing machines, especially the ones that open from the side.  I bought for over $2000 a washing and dryer machines last year 2015 and i kept complaining about horrible smell that comes always after finishing the cleaning.  They tell you to drain and clean the port which we did.  They tell you keep the door open which we did.  After 7 months of the purchase the store sent us another washing machine to replace the exeisting one, but the problem still exisitng.  Now after the original warranty just expired and the extended warrranty kicked in, we called the LG company complaining again for the same issue.  Their answer was very interesting, they cannot do anything for the smell as the extended warranty does not cover the smell.  Now we have to live with the problem that looks like we live in a septic tank.  We had another brand in the last 5 years that never gave us any problem.  I consulted another repair facility, they advised us not to purchase any LG appliances because they have lots of complaints.
