liberty Credit Law Charged a lot of money, but actually made my situation worse ! Internet

During the last quarter of 2009 I contacted liberty credit law hoping for a mortgage modification.  They took all my information for review.  They promised me that they would not take my case if they could not negotiated a respectable relief program.  Within a couple of days they said I was a good candidate and it would cost a little over $2,000 dollars to take our case.  They quoted many success stories that were significant relief.  So we secured their service with a payment of over $2,000 dollars.

The next few months of the process simply involved me e-mailing my adviser for a status and getting a response at best several days later, but typically more then a week later.  The response typically was " The mortgage company is not ready to review my case yet".  During this time our mortgage company was working directly with us and made no reference to Liberty credit Law.  We were asked for the same information we gave Liberty from our mortgage company. 

It was now obvious that Liberty credit Law was not negotiating any relief in our behave, but merely duplicating the same process I was doing directly with my mortgage company.  I was reporting back to liberty what the mortgage company was saying. 

The mortgage company said I was not eligible for a modification, but offed a loan that would raise my mortgage rate.  This was not the relief Liberty promised.  Also Liberty was not  aware of this offer.  This indicated to me there was very little communication between my mortgage company and Liberty.

I sent this offer to Liberty for review and heard nothing for weeks and several e-mails and calls.  I find out a month later that my adviser was no longer with the company.  So my case and calls were just forgotten and not picked-up by another adviser.  As a result this time sensitive milestone was missed and hindered and further negotiations.

Ultimately I had to enter a short sale program with the mortgage company.  This was a result of me and the mortgage company working together and not Liberty Credit law.

Eventually Liberty responded with an offer that reduced my mortgage for only a 100 dollars, but at a significant overall cost. 

I paid this firm over two thousand dollars to negotiate in my behalf, but they did very little to help.  Liberty made my situation worse by missing dated material because my adviser was gone and no one in the office to step in.  The mortgage company was really working from information I provided.  Liberty Credit Law had no influence what so ever with my mortgage company. 

I asked for at least a partial refund, but was denied.  They said I was offered an option.  However, this option was not a modification that Liberty promised.  It was a option that made my situation worse.

Liberty did nothing, but take my money to only eavesdrop on my attempt to keep my house.  I could have kept my house if Liberty even came close to their promise.
