I had a woman call me and tell me she had a perfect and inexpensive way to advertise myseof in a magazine that would go out in 2 grocery stores in Huntington Beach.  She called me with a private number so I had no way of knowing how to call her back.  The sales person was meeting me at my office.  She assured me that there would not be another agent in there from the same brokerage company.  There was only going to be one other Realtor in the magazine from another company.  I met with the saleman and he was late and also in a hurry as he had to go to a funeral.  He said he was going to give me a whole page ad at the half page price and that I can change the ad 5 times.  He was going to put it at the end of the magazine at the last page.  He had me give him a check for $129.00 and had me sign this empty box on the contract.  I didn't read the contract that I signed and had I read it, I wouldn't of signed it at all.  I didn't know that I was signing a contrat that said that I couldn't cancel.  Also the box he had me sign that isn't filled out says that they will take the money out of the account if the payment is not recieved within 30 days.  I then called a few people in the magazine to see if they were happy with there ads.  I came to find out that they are very unhappy, they had money taken out of there accounts and credit cards without there permission.

I then called and told them I was cancelling and they told me I can't cancel.  I told them I have 3 days to cancel and they said I can't cancel.  I faxed over a cancellation letter and they said they never got it.  I have proof that they got it as I mongo faxed it and it goes into there email.  I closed out my bank account so they have no access to my money.  I then went onto google and looked them up and found all the complaints on this company.

I got an email from the legal department saying that I had to send them a certified letter to cancel and that they will honor my cancellation if I can prove that I sent a ceritfied letter and that a faxed letter is not valid.  I don't know why a faxed letter is not valid.  I hope that I don't have to get a lawyer.  They can't get any money from my account but I hope that they don't come after me for it.  That is my story about this company and I wish I never signed anything.
