I bought a "brand new in box never used" verizon pink razr V3c from ll cellular on EBAY. I activated the phone with no problems. It rings ONLY on vibrate, there is no other ringer that works, at all, none of the ringers work except vibrate.... There is also a small piece of plastic that is missing and appears broken from the place that the battery snaps in. I checked the Motorola website and it states that the warranty was up in February of 07, I purchased the phone October 1, 07. The inside of the battery case has a date of July 07, so I believe the phone was broken, refurbished and resold as new. It didn't come in the pink razr box, it came in a plain motorola box, and there were no vcast booklets in there w/ the phone. The company refuses to return my email--even when I emailed them before end of day on friday. I am giving them until Tuesday of next week (monday is a holiday) to contact me back before I dispute this through paypal. I am taking pictures of the phone w/ the broken piece in the back, and will ship back w/ a delivery confirmation request. I am not going to pay for this phone one way or another. I had to switch my service back to my old super glued together one until I can find a legitimate seller.

It's about time. Almost one month to the day I'm finally getting my money back.
"We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favor.
We were able to recover $171.90 USD and this amount has been credited to
you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted.
If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to
recover the balance from the seller.
If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the
seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account

Apparently this phone was purchased from an ebay store, it is illegal to sell refurbished items without stating so. Also this store has 18 negative feedbacks for this month alone. Just because they are power sellers, does not mean that they are reliable. Also this was in the item up for bid...
D.O.A (dead on arrival) products are eligible for EXCHANGE only if we are notified within 48 hours of receiving item and returned within 3 days of receipt, unused, in original packaging complete with box, manuals, and accessories. Water damaged or physically damaged items will NOT be accepted back under any circumstances. Phone will be inspected for completeness and condition upon receipt back before a replacement can be issued.
It seams to me the it was not D.O.A. And it has physical damage. And that's why they're not tacking it back. Sounds like they have BAD BUSINESS practices to me.
Of course their time frame is ridicules, 3 days? You would have to pay for express overnight shipping. Someone needs to let LLCellular know this.
Do the research. It will be well worth it in the long run. Your best bet is to buy from your local store.

UPDATE going thru paypal now

Well, as suspected, I have not received a refund, 5 full working days (acutally one full week, 7 days) since they received my phone back. They told me on the phone when I received the RMA number, that I would need to give them 24-48 hours to get the refund. Which has not happened. I Also found out another neat little game they play. They file a "UNPAID ITEM" claim with ebay, which you go thru and "resolve" but they trick you into wiping out your negative feedback on ebay. BUT I DID PAY for the item thru paypal. I originally thought that the phone call that I got from "ebay" was someone working for ebay and helping me thru the process of rectifying the situation, when in fact now I suspect it was someone from THEIR offices calling me and talking me thru wiping out my bad comments. Because when I went back to my ebay account and saw that my negative response was wiped off, I couldn't believe it. They had me go into my ebay account and then told me to respond accordingly to the questionnaires that were on there.
Anyhow, I filed a dispute thru paypal where it's you talking to them to resolve the dispute. Mediated by paypal. I filed it on Tuesday, and wednesday they responded that "we are working on refunding your money". HOLD ON. You said 24-48 hours, 2 working days after you receive the phone back, it's been 5 working days and you say you are "working on it"?!? It doesn't take ONE day to get my money back to me thru paypal, doesn't even take one HOUR to refund my money thru paypal. Today is friday, another full 48 hours since they received the phone back--which can be proved b/c I sent it thru fedex and required a signature, and the signature and delivery date can be found thru the tracking number--and I still have not received the money back. So today I see no money in my paypal account, no money refunded back to my credit card, so I have escalated the report to a CLAIM thru paypal.
If there are any other websites that I can post on I am going to b/c these guys are non english speaking rip off artists! GRRRRRRRRRR! The aggravation!!!!!

Well despite reading the other horror stories here, I was only on hold for 10 minutes, and I actually got an RMA number the first time I called. Could help that I emailed them a bunch of times with pictures etc.
